Since 1987, Charlotte has been working in the convention and exposition industry planning meetings and events for associations, non-profit organizations and cCharlotte Van Duser of Ivy Hill Associatesorporate entities. She began her journey at Ralph Whitener & Company where she received hands-on training from the now renowned Robert Whitener and Fred Hufnagel, legends in the trade show industry. The company was sold several times in the 1990s and has been called BillCom Exposition & Conference Group, VNU Expositions and, most recently, Nielsen Expositions (part of Nielsen Company). During her 14 year tenure, Charlotte worked on many trade show 200 events, including Globalshop, Medtrade and Hospitality Design and managed a staff of nearly 30 as Director of Operations. She also worked on contract accounts, including the National League of Cities.

In September 2001, Charlotte started Ivy Hill Associates, Inc. The National League of Cities was her flagship account. Shortly thereafter, she began doing sales and project management for ARSystems, a Canadian based registration company and also E3, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. In 2008, the American Forest Foundation contracted with Ivy Hill Associates to manage all of their meetings and conferences.

Charlotte holds a business administration degree from Shepherd University and enjoys spending time with her husband and two college age sons on the water and on the ski slopes. Charlotte operates Ivy Hill Associates using the DREAM principle – Dedication, Responsibility, Education, Attitude, Motivation and Success.
